I live in a city that gets extremely cold starting about now so I can't wet it and go out in the morning like I do in summer, and I have been tryin to keep my hair up and work out, however now I'm finding that my press and curl for the cold weather is not gonna work if I work out 5 days a week.... I want a cute style but I'm getting so, so, so frustrated!! I don't know what to do...help please!

taniacita00@yahoo.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344239496521274434.post-67035731720086697842008-06-11T09:35:00.000-07:002008-06-11T09:35:00.000-07:00This article has the most helpful tips I have seen...This article has the most helpful tips I have seen so far. There is advice for hair of different lengths and styles

http://www.blackvoices.com/blogs/2008/06/09/tips-for-the-work-out-divas/#cont

Dilemma A: You want no fuss hair that's easy to care for. You don't care about growing long hair, as long as it is healthy.

Opt for a short style that allows you to wash and dry overnight and with minimal heat. Hair can easily be washed and wrapped overnight, with a light flat ironing for a wispy pixie look in the morning.

Dilemma B: You want no fuss hair but enough length to pull up into a ponytail.

Opt for a nice bob cut. They are the perfect length for easy styling and you still have enough length to experiment with different styles. Bob cuts can be wet wrapped, "flexi-rodded" or roller set. During work outs, slick back into ponytail and cover hairline with

Click Link for Full ArticleFitness Goddesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12549108450682140533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344239496521274434.post-32725670988088020642008-06-10T16:09:00.000-07:002008-06-10T16:09:00.000-07:00I have the same problem! It keeps your hair sufficiently moisturized. Also, a heating cap is nice for once a week when you want a super deep condition!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344239496521274434.post-89043225929648849772008-06-08T12:31:00.000-07:002008-06-08T12:31:00.000-07:00I wear a sew-in weave very similar to (almost iden...I wear a sew-in weave very similar to (almost identical actually) the one pictured in this link http://public.fotki.com/Reniece20/portfolio/lastupdate/full-weaves/fullwv075.html

My own hair is cornrowed and natural underneath. I only have to flat-iron the tiny section of my hair that's uncovered to form the side part like the woman has in the picture. I just pull the hair up into a ponytail while I exercise. So I get to workout, look good, and have my natural hair protected and growing. Can't beat that IMO :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344239496521274434.post-86200577714464896072008-05-27T17:11:00.000-07:002008-05-27T17:11:00.000-07:00great advice..great advice..Beauty Is Diversehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10391862182408461540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344239496521274434.post-68483151672242121082008-05-14T17:06:00.000-07:002008-05-14T17:06:00.000-07:00U should wrap it beforehand....Thats what i would ...U should wrap it beforehand....Thats what i would do, if u sweat give it time to dry. Its not the most attractive while in the gym but at least that way when you sweat your hair isnt every where & you can go home & let it dry over night, then un-wrap it in the morning. Lets face it, us sistas can't wash our hair every day or it dry's out. So by doing this you can get in in the morning & still as usual.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344239496521274434.post-60996413722880694592008-05-14T09:14:00.000-07:002008-05-14T09:14:00.000-07:00Workout, Stay Fit and STILL Have Great Healthy Hai...Workout, Stay Fit and STILL Have
Great Healthy Hair:
Great Article gives tips on how to keep your hair healthy while working out.

http://www.blackwomenshealth.com/2006/articles.php?id=142Fitness Goddesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12549108450682140533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344239496521274434.post-66002186589731112012008-05-13T09:25:00.000-07:002008-05-13T09:25:00.000-07:00For me, I wash my hair every 5 days or whenever it...For me, I wash my hair every 5 days or whenever it starts to feel caked. The night before I wash it, I put a protein conditioner on it. I sleep through it with a plastic cap and put some more on it the next day and wear it in a bun. When I'm done with my day, I wash it with my shampoo and put moisturizing conditioner on it for about 10 minutes. Afterwards, I spray on some leave in conditioner and and put on some oil and just let it air dry. Sometimes I roller set it. I flat iron it most of the time. Before I flat iron it, I ALWAYS put oil on it. Then I wrap and go. The more conditioner you put on it, the healthier it will be and it will have so much mobilitiy! I hope that helped! :o)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344239496521274434.post-36698240051994130942008-05-12T15:36:00.000-07:002008-05-12T15:36:00.000-07:00I'm considering going natural now... I...As an ex-track athlete, I can completely relate! I've gone natural now, so I don't really have that problem. But if you're not at the place to go natural, consider natural styles. While I was making the transition and running college track, I often straw set my hair, or corn-rowed it and fingered it out in the morning. They're both styles that require little day to day maintenance (like flat ironing), but can still look fly. Just my two-cents.

~L~LKPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05478131227276978737noreply@blogger.com
